Policy Statement

This is my LiveJournal: a receptacle of odd thoughts, beliefs, moods and scribblings. I believe that, while this is before God and World to read, it is still for me. I write here for me and my benefit. For various reasons stretching from a desire to share lyrics of a moving song to tracking the events in my life (I was able to figure out employment a few years back based on my LJ), I do all here for me. Selfish, I know, but in my totality that is my life, this small corner can be the place where I am allowing myself to be egocentric.

While I believe LiveJournal to be a wonderful communication tool, it isn’t a substitute for true sharing and friendship. Whether I friend you or not bears little on how I feel or what I think about you or your journal. I didn’t do high school in high school, so I won’t be doing it here. Those that know I love them know I love them (or they’d better – I’ll kick their butts!). They know because we communicate well beyond LiveJournal. If you have any doubts, ask but be prepared for the truth as I see it.

I will not censor myself. I will use foul language, have offensive thoughts and push boundaries. I’m a Taoist Hedonist by nature (and a practicing Catholic), so part of my center encompasses a high sex drive. Mix that with a vivid imagination and you get something that would buckle Pat Buchanan’s knees. I possess an angry streak a mile wide. I’ve always had it and do not plan on loosing it any time soon. If you are easily offended or have a sensitive nature, move along now. I will not apologize for myself later, unless circumstances dictate otherwise.

If you are looking for completion of your soul, you have come to the wrong place. I will not fix you, make you whole or add any deep meaning to your life. More than likely, I will push buttons, challenge you and demand evolution. I believe Life is Change. Whether I like it or not, Life constantly evolves me. That colors my view of the world. Yes, Virginia, there is an uncarved block that is the truth of me, but I am the product of my experiences.

You are the product of your experiences. Don’t pretend to be someone you’re not. It demeans us both and wastes time.

Otherwise, welcome. Please feel free to share your thoughts, ideas, emotions and views. I hail them with a hearty cheer. Worry not what you say, for I shall share my views. If you offend me, I will calmly explain why and with much empathy. If you delight me, I shall bounce and hug the stuffing out of you. If you do anything, I’m typical to respond favorably.

Leave fear at the door. I have a strong disdain for it.

Please keep in mind that this is a writer’s journal. I pay close attention to words, verbage choices and sentence structure. These things are of value to me. Toss them around carelessly and I will think you lesser for it.

I understand others view LiveJournal differently. This is how I see it and choose to use it. It is not open for debate.
